Fairmeadows is a great neighborhood in walking distance to SouthPark Mall with amazing amenities and older homes with plenty of character. The neighborhood includes a tennis and swim club which was renovated in 2015, though it is membership based and includes a joining fee. There are many world class shopping and dining options in walking distance. You can also walk to Symphony Park which hosts a concert series each summer. A commute to Uptown Charlotte is quick as is a trip to the airport. The Harris YMCA is just down the road as are many other options for fitness or outdoor recreation.
Homes in Fairmeadows were built in the 1950’s and 1960’s by Crossland and are a mix of ranch, split-level and two story homes. Square footage is typically between 1,521 and 2,611. Many of the homes have been modernized and updated and some have been added on to increase living space. Lots can be quite large with some coming in over ¾ of an acre, though the average is 0.42 of an acre.
