Fairmeadows is a great neighborhood in walking distance to SouthPark Mall with amazing amenities and older homes with plenty of character. The neighborhood includes a tennis and swim club which was renovated in 2015, though it is membership based and includes a joining fee. There are many world class shopping and dining options in walking distance. You can also walk to Symphony Park which hosts a concert series each summer. A commute to Uptown Charlotte is quick as is a trip to the airport. The Harris YMCA is just down the road as are many other options for fitness or outdoor recreation.
