Whitegate is a new construction neighborhood near Rea Road and Pineville-Matthews Road in South Charlotte. Pulte Homes is the current builder as they revived the project after the recession. There are a few new construction homes left, but most of the building is now complete. The location means that you are close to many options for shopping, dining, and entertainment. Blakeney, The Arboretum, and Ballantyne Village are all nearby. There is nearby access to I-485 which will connect residents to the airport or Uptown Charlotte with ease.
Homes in Whitegate are grand and have at least 5 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, and over 4,000 square feet of living space. Lots average around a third of an acre but can go up to a half acre in size. Homes feature unique features such as dramatic circular staircases, spa-like bathrooms, gourmet kitchens, three car garages, and much more. In the past year homes have sold for an average price of just over $850,000.
Whitegate is desirable for schools as well. Current zoning has children attending top rated Olde Providence Elementary School, Carmel Middle School, and Myers Park High School. Please verify school assignments as zoning boundaries can sometimes run through neighborhoods.
