Wilmore is located just to the south and west of Uptown Charlotte. This up and coming neighborhood has Uptown views and is walking distance to the light rail making commuting a breeze. There are great restaurants, breweries and shopping in the area. Proximity to Uptown Charlotte gives residents access to nightlife, entertainment, sporting events, dining, museums and more all without worrying about parking.
Charming bungalow homes populate much of Wilmore. Homes are still affordable at this time, but as it becomes more popular, prices will continue to rise. The flavor of Dilworth is seen in the architecture, but on a smaller scale. Lots are smaller and home footprints are smaller as well, but the charming details are just the same. There are some new construction homes, but most homes were built between the 1920’s to the 1950’s. You can get an original home in the $300’s, or get a fully updated home in the $500’s.
Current zoning has children in Wilmore attending Dilworth Elementary, Alexander Graham Middle, and Myers Park High Schools. Please verify school assignments as boundaries can change.
