Crescent Communities has closed on its purchase of a 3.6-acre site in uptown Charlotte where the firm is planning a mixed-use development that will be anchored by a Whole Foods Market. Albemarle Corp. has finalized the lease for its corporate headquarters in SouthPark. The specialty chemicals company has signed a lease for 47,060 square feet at Capitol Towers, the new office development by Lincoln Harris. A California real estate investment and development firm has purchased Woodland Business Park for nearly $57 million and has hired Avison Young to market and lease the property. Evergreen Industrial Properties, based in Oakland, Calif., recently purchased the park for $56.9 million from Dallas-based Crow Holdings. Crow Holdings purchased the park in 2011 for $43 million.
