State lists former correctional facility property for sale in southwest Charlotte
The state of North Carolina has listed a former correctional facility property for sale in southwest Charlotte.
The 49-acre property is located at 4101 Meadow Oak Drive, at the southwest corner of the intersection of Tyvola Road and Billy Graham Parkway. It was previously home to the Charlotte Correctional Facility, which closed in 2011.

Keith Bell, a managing partner at Mohr Partners, is leaving the firm to join Cushman & Wakefield.
Bell, who specializes in tenant representation, says he couldn’t turn down the opportunity to join Cushman’s national platform as a senior vice president.
“That’s what really sparked my interest,” Bell says. “It’s a great platform and offers a lot of things that can bring value to my clients.”

A Kansas company that combines extended-stay hotel rooms with apartments is planning to open four locations in the Charlotte market.
WaterWalk, based in Wichita, Kan., is planning to bring its concept to locations in University City, southwest Charlotte and the Ballantyne and Lake Norman areas.
