Midtown mixed-use project now a go after Charlotte City Council reconsiders
A rezoning request for a mixed-use project in midtown has been approved by Charlotte City Council, one week after the request was initially denied.
Last week, the rezoning request, which faced a protest petition, fell short of the nine votes required for it to pass. The developer of the proposed project, Goode Properties, agreed to reduce the maximum height of a building along South Kings Drive to 100 feet, and the council agreed to reconsider the rezoning application.
