Keith Bell, a managing partner at Mohr Partners, is leaving the firm to join Cushman & Wakefield. The Charlotte office of Thalhimer has joined CNL Commercial Real Estate. Orlando-based CCRE is adding 29 employees from the Virginia-based firm, which lost its affiliation with Cushman & Wakefield in North Carolina due to Cushman’s acquisition by DTZ. Crosland and Allen Tate broke ground on Tuesday on a six-story dual-branded hotel in SouthPark. The Charlotte real estate firms are partnering with Chartwell Hospitality to develop the project, which will include a 160-room Hilton Garden Inn and a 110-room Homewood Suites. Midtown mixed-use project now a go after Charlotte City Council reconsiders

A rezoning request for a mixed-use project in midtown has been approved by Charlotte City Council, one week after the request was initially denied. Office tower owners start lobby renovation, seeking restaurant

The owners of 400 South Tryon have started a $1.9 million lobby renovation at the uptown office tower and recently opened a new 4,000 square-foot fitness center.
