New hotel breaking ground soon in Ballantyne area
OHM Hotels plans to break ground soon on a four-story Holiday Inn Express & Suites hotel at the Colinayre development in south Charlotte.
The 123-room hotel is expected to open in late 2016 at the mixed-use development, which is located at the southwest corner of Providence Road West and Johnston Road. Artemis Real Estate Partners, a real estate investment firm based in Chevy Chase, Md., has formed a joint venture with Childress Klein to buy the LakePointe Corporate Center One and Two buildings for $37.5 million. The two six-story buildings, located off Tyvola Road, total 331,611 square feet and are 70% leased. Tenants at the two buildings include The Lash Group, AT&T, Shelco and Aerotek.
